Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, Rana LaPine joined The Common Good in June of 2015 as a Summer Intern.
A rising senior at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, Rana will be graduating in May of 2016 with a major in International Relations and a double minor in Economics and Middle Eastern Studies. On campus, Rana is very active, competing as a varsity track and field athlete specializing in hammer and weight throw, performing as a member of a vigorous step team, working as the Employer Relations Assistant, coordinating and executing events for Native Heritage Month, and serving as a member of Wheaton’s chapter of the NCAA Student Athlete Advisory Council.
In addition to interning for The Common Good this Summer, Rana also volunteers for Haki Yetu, a non-profit in Brooklyn ensuring human rights and providing services for the community. She is passionate about human rights, and has been actively pursuing and demanding justice for indigenous people for the majority of her life.
