NEW DATE!: On the Frontlines of Democracy on January 6th
a conversation with
Michael Fanone
Former DC Metropolitan Police Officer
Thursday, December 1st, 2022, 5:00-6:00 pm ET on Zoom
The storming of the Capitol on January 6th forever changed the country, but also the life of DC Metropolitan Police Officer Michael Fanone. He was brutally dragged to the ground, beaten, tear-gassed, and nearly killed, defending the Capitol and our leaders against the insurrectionist mob. Now he’s ready to discuss the harrowing events of that day, his testimony before the January 6th Committee, the violent threats he still receives, and stories from his book Hold the Line: The Insurrection and One Cop's Battle for America's Soul.
Tune in via Zoom on Thursday, December 1st at 5:00 ET for a conversation with one of the heroes defending our democracy.
Our Speaker:
Officer Michael Fanone joined the Capitol Police out of a sense of duty after the September 11th attacks and spent 21 years on the Metropolitan Police Force before voluntarily rushing to defend the certification of electoral vote on January 6th, 2021. He has since testified several times before Congress about the horrific events that left him battered and lucky to survive the heart attack he suffered that day. Now retired from the police force, he regularly appears on CNN as a commentator and has written the book Hold the Line: The Insurrection and One Cop's Battle for America's Soul about his experience.
