Conversation with

Congressman Tom Suozzi

MONDAY, MAY 13TH, 4-5:00 PM ET, IN-PERSON, NYC

After George Santos’ expulsion from Congress, Congressman Tom Suozzi, who held Santos’ seat from 2016-2022 before stepping down, decided his work wasn't over. In a special election to replace George Santos, which was expected by many to be a tight race, Rep. Suozzi won by an 8 point margin.

At his swearing in Suozzi “called for a new era of harmony and working across the aisle. It was the second time Suozzi took the Oath of Office to become congressman, but probably the first time he bluntly confronted members of Congress to cast aside the dysfunction and, as he said, "Wake up." Join us to hear from Rep. Tom Suozzi in-person at The Common Good, as we explore the appeal of “more common sense and less chaos and senseless fighting in Washington” and how to get more accomplished by overcoming toxic party polarization on issues from immigration, crime,  and criminal justice to reproductive rights, housing and the economy.
