John Heilemann is known to have a “knack for asking candidates thought-provoking, creative questions that virtually no one has ever thought to ask.” He is the creator and host of the heralded and Emmy nominated political docuseries The Circus, a national affairs analyst for NBC News and MSNBC, and most recently joined Puck News as Partner and chief political columnist.  He is the co-author of two New York Times No. 1 best sellers, Game Change and Double Down; both of which are widely regarded as “two of the most successful and influential books in history on presidential politics” and “the definitive accounts of the 2008 and 2012 elections, respectively.” Game Change was adapted by HBO Films and went on to win five Emmy Awards, three Golden Globes, and a Peabody Award. Heilemann is also the former managing editor of Bloomberg Politics and host of MSNBC and Bloomberg TV's daily political news and analysis program “With All Due Respect”. Before joining Bloomberg, Heilemann was a staff writer and columnist at New York Magazine, The New Yorker, Wired, and The Economist. His magazine writing has also appeared in Vanity Fair, GQ, Time, The New Republic, and The Washington Monthly, and been anthologized in The Best American Political Writing and The Best American Crime Writing.

Michael S. Schmidt is an American journalist, author, and correspondent for The New York Times in Washington, D.C. and national security contributor for MSNBC and NBC News. He covers national security and federal law enforcement and has broken several high-profile stories. The Pulitzer-winning reporter broke news of Hillary Clinton’s use of personal email while secretary of state, and of James Comey authoring a memo that detailed the president ordering him to end the FBI investigation of Gen Michael Flynn, Trump’s first national security adviser.

Carol Lee is a White House correspondent for NBC News. She was previously the White House correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, responsible for their coverage on politics, foreign affairs and domestic policy issues. She is currently president of the White House Correspondents’ Association, after serving on its board since 2010.

She has covered the White House since October 2008. She joined the Journal’s White House correspondence in 2011. Previously, she covered the White House for Politico, starting with President Obama’s transition in Chicago. Lee wrote a weekly column for the Journal’s digital politics page, “Capital Journal”. She now appears regularly on television and radio, including CNN, MSNBC, NPR and Sirius XM, as a commentator on the White House.

He also contributed occasionally to Capital New York and Salon, where he served as a senior political writer and politics editor from 2010 to 2013. His work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, New York Daily News, New York Post, Boston Globe and Daily Beast.
